Gloria was born and grew up in Ecuador, she studied Artes Plásticas y Diseño and graduated from Escuela de Cerámica Francisco Alcántara in Spain in 2010. In 2017 she moved to Bath, England where she has continued to create art and regularly exhibits.

 

Gloria's inspiration comes from the rich colours and culture of her Ecuadorian background and she began designing original hand-made crochet from an early age, as it's a natural way to weave. She uses traditional textiles, and her unique designs are influenced by indigenous Inca styles mixed with contemporary European ideas. She has a particular passion for textile in all its forms as well as ceramics and of course crochet using vibrant colours.
